Naltrexone Implants are solid devices that are inserted under the skin on the lower abdominal wall. They slowly dissolve releasing a fairly constant amount of naltrexone into the blood stream.

There are two models of slow release naltrexone implants, 6-month implant (model 4) and 12-month (model 3) implant. However this device is still in the process of registration in China.
